About Youth Discipleship.
The youth discipleship at St. Stephen Methodist Church focuses on helping teenagers discover their value and worth as God's children and empower them to reach their potential in faithfully following Christ in the context of relationships. This comes with an understanding of one's true identity in Christ, and growing to live with confidence, strength, and with the purpose of positively influencing others for the glory of God. That means we take time for some deep conversation about some deep topics, we take time to go on trips and just play games, and we make time for prayer. That means we go on mission trips, participate in service projects, and make time to explore the Bible together. Youth discipleship is about exploring your life journey with God, developing a community for spiritual support, and building that foundation as they are preparing to take on the world.
Whether you are brand new or have been around for years, we are excited to be in community with you! Starting on Labor Day weekend we have Sunday school classes for grades 6th-12th from 9:30am to 10:30am in the Education Building. We will start on September 26th our Sunday night Youth Group. Our Youth Group will be meeting at 5:00 PM and be over at 6:30 for those same grade levels. St. Stephen is committed to protecting children, youth and vulnerable adults whenever they are participating in our programs. All employees and volunteers have undergone background checks and have completed MinistrySafe training.
